To begin the online program:

  1. Go to: http://www.nscsafety.com/CTORP
  2. Where you see New User Registration, enter in the Access Code shown above.
  3. Click Register.
  4. Complete all fields on the registration form. You will need to create a Login ID and password - Please write your Login ID and Login Password down for future reference.
  5. Click APPLY.
  6. Under My Courses, choose Defensive Driving Course - 10X Edition (L).
  7. Click on course name, Defensive Driving Course - 10X Edition (L), to launch.

PLEASE NOTE: If you choose to not complete the entire class at one time, you will click on Returning Users each time you log back in to the course. Your login will be valid for 60 days.

The Access Code above is unique to your registration. Your Access code can only be used once.

National Safety Council will electronically notify the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles once you have successfully completed the Connecticut Online Operator Retraining Program. Please complete the online class at least two weeks prior to your Effective Date of Suspension to allow time for processing. At the end of the online course you can print a Certificate of Completion for your personal records only.
